Bristol police searching for Dollar General armed robber

Police are searching for a man accused of robbing a Dollar General store Friday night. 

It happened around 8:48 p.m. at the Dollar General at 1109 Bluff City Highway. 

According to Bristol Police, a man approached the register, pulled out a handgun, and told the cashier to back up. He then stole cash from the register and fled the store. The cashier was not hurt, according to BPD. 

Investigators say the robber is about 5′ 9″ tall and has a gray beard. He was wearing a brown Carhartt-type jacket, blue jeans, camouflage cap, and brown work boots during the robbery. They believe he is in his late 50’s to early 60’s.
