TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Black & Decker is recalling more than 641,000 hammer drills.
The hardware manufacturer says the drills’ side handles can slip or break, posing an injury hazard.
The following models, sold between Jan. 2018 and July 2018, are being recalled:
- Porter-Cable brand model PC70THD ½ Inch VSR 2-Speed Hammer Drills
- Black & Decker brand model DR560 ½ Inch Drill/Drivers
- Bostitch brand models BTE140 and BTE141 ½ Inch Hammer Drills
The company has received 11 reports of handles detaching from the drill.
Consumers should stop using hte drills and contact the company for a free replacement side handle.
