Arby’s Classic announces opening day bracket for December tournament

BRISTOL, TN (WJHL) – The field has now been set for one of the top high school basketball tournaments in the country.

Sunday afternoon, local coaches found out who they would face in the annual Arby’s Classic which will tip off at Tennessee High on December 27th and run through the 31st.

“The different locations from the teams are coming from, we have a team out of New York team out of Wisconsin, a team out of Florida it’s like 9 or 10 different states represented here,” said tournament director, Richard Ensor.

Simply by pulling a name out of a bucket, each team found out who they’ll open up against and no team has “gimmie” this season.

Local teams in the 2016 Arby’s Classic:

  • David Crocket plays Christ School
  • Wings Academy plays Gate City 
  • Greeneville plays Blanche
