Amber Alert issued for abducted Knoxville child after police find mother dead

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – A statewide Amber Alert has been issued for a Knoxville girl believed to have been abducted by her father.

Officers are asking for assistance locating two-year-old Brooklynne Enix. They say she has blonde hair is three feet tall and weighs 38 pounds.

Police were called to a home on Quiet Way in Fountain City to conduct a welfare check on a woman who didn’t show up to work. Officers entered the home and found Kimberly Enix, 36, dead. She is believed to have been murdered.

Brooklynne was missing. She may be with her father Tyler Enix, 36, traveling in a 2011 black Chevrolet Impala with license plate G61-16U. Tyler Enix is 6-feet-2, about 205 pounds. He has blue eyes and is bald.

Brooklynne has not been seen since Monday. Police say Tyler Enix and Kimberly Enix were estranged.
