Anna Zook

Anna Zook

Originally from just outside of Seattle, Anna is probably one of the few people who is not an avid coffee drinker, however, she did learn to love the rain and everything that relates to the Mariners or Seahawks.

Anna attended the University of Colorado at Boulder and majored in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in History. Anna is a huge college sports fan so you can always find her wearing black and gold gear to cheer on the Buffs!

Before even graduating college, Anna received her first job offer as a news anchor and reporter in Rapid City, South Dakota. While in the Black Hills she developed the love of sharing someone’s story and making a difference in the community.

From South Dakota to the South- Anna made the jump to morning anchor in Johnson City, Tennessee where she helped jump-start the morning show program.

After spending almost 4 years behind the desk and waking up before the sunrise she took on a new challenge that still allowed her to stick to her TV roots. Anna moved down the hall and joined the Daytime Tri-Cities team!

From meeting new people and hearing about all the fun events happening in our community Anna loves being part of the Daytime family.

Outside of work, Anna enjoys giving back and is active in several local organizations including Make-A-Wish East Tennessee and Girls on The Run. Anna spends her free time with family, friends, and her dog. She loves to travel, anything outdoors, and right now her husband is attempting to teach her how to play golf… wish her luck!

Anna loves the opportunity to meet people in the Tri-Cities community so if you want to say hi feel free to find her on Twitter @AnnaZook or email at AZook@wjhl.com.
