ETSU names Logan Marchi as Bucs' starting quarterback

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) - ETSU Head Football Coach Randy Sanders announced Sunday that Logan Marchi will be the Buccaneers' starting quarterback for this season.

Marchi is from Bristol, Connecticut and a transfer from Temple.

He transferred to ETSU during the spring semester. He compiled more than 1,600 passing yards with nine touchdowns in 12 career games with the Owls.

Marchi threw for 1,658 yards and nine touchdowns in his first seven games before an injury prevented him from finishing the season as quarterback.

The Bucs will open the 2018 season this Saturday when they host Mars Hill. The game will take place at 7:30 p.m. inside William B. Greene, Jr. Stadium.
