Construction at Dobyns-Bennett High School may impact drop off

KINGSPORT, TN (WJHL) - Construction crews continue working on the new Regional Science and Technology Center at Dobyns-Bennett High School which may impact traffic for the first day of school. 

Crews have spent the entire summer working on the multi-million dollar project, which will hold around 400 students once it is completed. 

The  Regional Science and Technology Center is part of a larger city and county school facilities plan. Officials with Kingsport City Schools said the new center will be a game changer for education.

There are currently four main entrances for student drop off at Dobyns-Bennett High School. Those include: The Nancy Pridemore Theater front entrance, the Buck Van Huss Dome, Stadium Court, and the CTE Building.
