6 indicted in Washington County, TN inmate's death; Deputies seek fugitive

WASHINGTON COUNTY, TN (WJHL) - The Washington County, TN Sheriff's Office revealed six people have been indicted in connection to the death of inmate Joseph Lockner. One the suspects is no longer behind bars and is now considered a fugitive.   

John Woodward was indicted on charges of reckless homicide, aggravated assault resulting in death, and conspiracy-aggravated assault resulting in death. 

Jonathan Pearson, who has been out of jail for more than a week, was indicted on charges of aggravated assault resulting in death and conspiracy-aggravated assault resulting in death.  The sheriff's office says it needs the public's help finding him.   

Deputies say he was last seen in the Fall Branch area. 

Pearson is described as about 6'0", weighing about 190 pounds, is said to have a "muscular-thin build" and is bald. 

In addition, Wesley Clouse and Cody Albu were indicted on the same charges of aggravated assault resulting in death, and conspiracy-aggravated assault resulting in death.  

Steve Necessary was indicted on the charge of conspiracy-aggravated assault resulting in death conspiracy. 

And Glendon Wilkerson was indicted on aggravated assault -- accessory after the fact. 

Lockner died last month in the hospital after a reported altercation at the jail on December 17. Officers said they found Lockner unresponsive on the bathroom floor. Officers said they performed CPR until paramedics arrived. 



Lockner was pronounced dead on December 21.
