VDH: 50 new COVID-19 cases in Southwest Virginia, no new deaths

RICHMOND, Va. (WJHL) – The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) reported 50 new cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths related to the virus on Thursday.

Statewide, VDH reported 516,561 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Commonwealth.

According to VDH, the total number of confirmed and probable cases is 664,394.

VDH reports there have been 9,145 confirmed coronavirus-related deaths across the state.

Note: VDH does not report whether cases are active or recovered. County and community case totals can include active, recovered, confirmed and probable cases.

Bristol, Va. – 1,485 cases / 99 hospitalizations / 33 deaths (4 new cases / 1 new hospitalization)
Buchanan County – 1,419 cases / 101 hospitalizations / 38 deaths (2 new cases)
Dickenson County – 927 cases / 40 hospitalizations / 15 deaths
Lee County – 2,417 cases / 110 hospitalizations / 46 deaths (3 new cases)
Norton – 282 cases / 18 hospitalizations / 7 deaths (1 new case)
Russell County – 2,251 cases / 130 hospitalizations / 38 deaths (2 new cases)
Scott County – 1,818 cases / 125 hospitalizations / 53 deaths (4 new cases/ 1 new hospitalization)
Smyth County – 2,925 cases / 198 hospitalizations / 91 deaths (17 new cases/ 1 new hospitalization)
Tazewell County – 3,607 cases / 158 hospitalizations / 67 deaths (5 new cases)
Washington County, Va. – 4,869 cases / 419 hospitalizations / 107 deaths (7 new cases)
Wise County – 3,146 cases / 160 hospitalizations / 96 deaths (5 new cases)
