VDH: 34 new COVID-19 cases, no new deaths reported in Southwest Virginia

RICHMOND, Va. (WJHL) – The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) reported 34 new cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths related to the virus on Sunday.

Statewide, VDH reported 503,043 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Commonwealth.

According to VDH, the total number of confirmed and probable cases is 646,133.

VDH reports there have been 8,882 confirmed coronavirus-related deaths across the state.

Note: VDH does not report whether cases are active or recovered. County and community case totals can include active, recovered, confirmed and probable cases.

Bristol, Va. – 1,387 cases / 89 hospitalizations / 32 deaths (1 new case)
Buchanan County – 1,386 cases / 99 hospitalizations / 38 deaths
Dickenson County – 912 cases / 40 hospitalizations / 15 deaths
Lee County – 2,397 cases / 107 hospitalizations / 46 deaths (1 new case)
Norton – 262 cases / 18 hospitalizations / 7 deaths
Russell County – 2,215 cases / 129 hospitalizations / 36 deaths (1 new case)
Scott County – 1,779 cases / 119 hospitalizations / 51 deaths (3 new cases / 1 new hospitalization)
Smyth County – 2,741 cases / 190 hospitalizations / 91 deaths (1 new case)
Tazewell County – 3,519 cases / 156 hospitalizations / 65 deaths (3 new cases)
Washington County, Va. – 4,707 cases / 389 hospitalizations / 102 deaths (20 new cases)
Wise County – 3,046 cases / 157 hospitalizations / 93 deaths (4 new cases)
