VDH: 20 new COVID-19 cases in Washington County, Va.; 4 more deaths in SWVA

RICHMOND, Va. (WJHL)- The Virginia Department of Health reported 126,850 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state on Saturday

VDH said there have been 2,589 confirmed coronavirus-related deaths across the state along with 133 probable COVID-19 deaths.

Note: VDH does not report whether cases are active or recovered.County and community case totals can include active, recovered, confirmed and probable cases.

According to VDH on Saturday, there was a spike of 20 additional COVID-19 cases in Washington County, Va. along with 4 more deaths due to the novel coronavirus in Southwest Virginia.

Bristol, Va. – 157 cases / 9 hospitalizations/ 2 deaths (4 new cases)

Buchanan County – 109 cases / 6 hospitalizations/ 2 deaths (2 new cases)

Dickenson County – 79 cases / 7 hospitalizations/ 1 death (3 new cases)

Lee County – 246 cases / 21 hospitalizations/ 5 deaths (2 new cases; 1 new death)

Norton – 32 cases / 3 hospitalizations

Russell County – 209 cases / 21 hospitalizations / 4 deaths (2 new cases)

Scott County – 172 cases / 14 hospitalizations / 4 deaths

Smyth County – 375 cases / 33 hospitalizations / 6 deaths (9 new cases)

Tazewell County – 230 cases / 15 hospitalizations/ 2 deaths (3 new cases)

Washington County, Va. – 462 cases / 42 hospitalizations / 12 deaths (20 news cases; 2 new deaths)

Wise County – 377 cases / 32 hospitalizations / 6 deaths (4 new cases; 1 new death)
