VDH: 18 new COVID-19 cases in Smyth County; 2 new deaths in Washington County

RICHMOND, Va. (WJHL)- The Virginia Department of Health reported 127,672 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state on Sunday

VDH said there have been 2,591 confirmed coronavirus-related deaths across the state along with 133 probable COVID-19 deaths.

A total of 10,175 hospitalizations for COVID-19 were reported by VDH.

According to VDH on Sunday, there was a spike of 18 additional COVID-19 cases in Smyth County, Va. along with 2 more deaths due to the novel coronavirus in Washington County.

Bristol, Va. – 164 cases / 9 hospitalizations/ 2 deaths (7 new cases)

Buchanan County – 112 cases / 6 hospitalizations/ 2 deaths (3 new cases)

Dickenson County – 79 cases / 7 hospitalizations/ 1 death

Lee County – 246 cases / 21 hospitalizations/ 5 deaths

Norton – 32 cases / 3 hospitalizations

Russell County – 212 cases / 21 hospitalizations / 4 deaths (3 new cases)

Scott County – 174 cases / 14 hospitalizations / 4 deaths (2 new cases)

Smyth County – 393 cases / 35 hospitalizations / 6 deaths (18 new cases; 2 new hospitalizations)

Tazewell County – 232 cases / 15 hospitalizations/ 2 deaths (2 new cases)

Washington County, Va. – 470 cases / 44 hospitalizations / 14 deaths (8 news cases; 2 new hospitalizations; 2 new deaths)

Wise County – 380 cases / 32 hospitalizations / 6 deaths (3 new cases)
