VDH: 16 new COVID-19 cases in Southwest Virginia, no new deaths

RICHMOND, Va. (WJHL) – The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) reported 16 new cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths related to the virus on Monday.

Statewide, VDH reported 519,310 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Commonwealth.

According to VDH, the total number of confirmed and probable cases is 666,986.

VDH reports there have been 9,192 confirmed coronavirus-related deaths across the state.

Note: VDH does not report whether cases are active or recovered. County and community case totals can include active, recovered, confirmed and probable cases.

Bristol, Va. – 1,498 cases / 100 hospitalizations / 33 deaths (2 new cases)
Buchanan County – 1,424 cases / 102 hospitalizations / 40 deaths (1 new case)
Dickenson County – 932 cases / 40 hospitalizations / 15 deaths (1 new case)
Lee County – 2,419 cases / 110 hospitalizations / 47 deaths
Norton – 282 cases / 18 hospitalizations / 7 deaths
Russell County – 2,257 cases / 130 hospitalizations / 38 deaths
Scott County – 1,824 cases / 126 hospitalizations / 54 deaths (1 new case)
Smyth County – 2,948 cases / 202 hospitalizations / 92 deaths (1 new case/ 2 new hospitalizations)
Tazewell County – 3,619 cases / 161 hospitalizations / 68 deaths (4 new cases/ 1 new hospitalization)
Washington County, Va. – 4,887 cases / 419 hospitalizations / 107 deaths (5 new cases)
Wise County – 3,166 cases / 160 hospitalizations / 96 deaths (1 new case)
