VDH: 13 new COVID-19 cases reported in SWVA; no new local deaths

RICHMOND, Va. (WJHL)- The Virginia Department of Health reported 128,400 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state on Monday.

The total number of probable and confirmed cases in Virginia is 134,571.

VDH said there have been 2,607 confirmed coronavirus-related deaths across the state along with 136 probable COVID-19 deaths.

On Monday, VDH reported 10,223 confirmed hospitalizations due to COVID-19 and 70 probable virus-related hospitalizations.

Bristol, Va. – 165 cases / 9 hospitalizations/ 2 deaths (1 new case)
Buchanan County – 112 cases / 6 hospitalizations/ 2 deaths
Dickenson County – 79 cases / 7 hospitalizations/ 1 death
Lee County – 247 cases / 21 hospitalizations/ 5 deaths (1 new case)
Norton – 32 cases / 3 hospitalizations
Russell County – 212 cases / 21 hospitalizations / 4 deaths
Scott County – 174 cases / 14 hospitalizations / 4 deaths
Smyth County – 397 cases / 36 hospitalizations / 6 deaths (4 new cases; 1 new hospitalization)
Tazewell County – 232 cases / 15 hospitalizations/ 2 deaths
Washington County, Va. – 475 cases / 44 hospitalizations / 14 deaths (5 news cases)
Wise County – 382 cases / 32 hospitalizations / 6 deaths (2 new cases)

On Monday, VDH reported 13 new cases in Southwest Virginia and no new local deaths.

A new hospitalization was reported in Smyth County on Monday.

The Virginia Department of Health does not report recoveries from the virus.
