TDH: 9,918 cases of COVID-19 in Tennessee, new cases in Johnson and Washington counties

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) – The Tennessee Department of Health reported 9,918 cases of COVID-19 in the state on Monday, an increase of 251 cases since Sunday.

The department also said there have been 184 deaths, 837 hospitalizations, and 4,720 recoveries. More than 154,000 coronavirus tests have been performed.

Sunday, TDH reported 9,667 cases and 181 deaths.

Two new cases were reported in Washington County and one new case was reported in Johnson County.

The following data was reported for local counties:

Carter – 12 cases / 1 death / 6 recoveries
Greene – 41 cases / 2 deaths / 27 recoveries
Hawkins – 29 cases / 2 deaths / 26 recoveries
Johnson – 3 cases / 2 recoveries
Sullivan – 47 cases / 1 death / 41 recoveries
Unicoi – 1 case / 1 recovery
Washington – 54 cases / 46 recoveries
