TDH: 35,302 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Tennessee Department of Health reported 35,302 confirmed cases and 251 probable cases of COVID-19 in the state on Monday, an increase of 451 total cases since Sunday.

The department also announced 510 confirmed deaths, 2,301 hospitalizations, and 23,567 recoveries. More than 699,000 coronavirus tests have been administered.

On Sunday, TDH reported 34,854 confirmed cases and 505 confirmed deaths.

Five new cases were reported in our area: one new case each in Greene, Hawkins, Sullivan, Unicoi, and Washington counties.

There are now 40 active cases in Northeast Tennessee, up from 35 active cases on Sunday based on TDH data.

Carter — 30 cases / 1 death / 22 recoveries
Greene — 56 cases / 2 deaths / 53 recoveries
Hawkins — 40 cases / 2 deaths / 32 recoveries
Johnson — 26 cases / 23 recoveries
Sullivan — 73 cases / 2 deaths / 67 recoveries
Unicoi — 53 cases / 52 recoveries
Washington — 103 cases / 85 recoveries
