TDH: 24,375 cases of COVID-19 in Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Tennessee Department of Health reported 24,375 cases of COVID-19 in the state on Tuesday, an increase of 821 cases since Monday.

The department also said there have been 381 deaths, 1,792 hospitalizations, and 15,916 recoveries. More than 462,000 coronavirus tests have been administered.

On Tuesday, TDH reported 23,554 cases and 367 deaths.

No new cases were reported in our area, but TDH is reporting one fewer case in Hawkins County and one fewer case in Unicoi County.

The number of active cases in Northeast Tennessee dropped from 49 to 43.

Carter – 19 cases / 1 death / 18 recovered
Greene – 52 cases / 2 deaths / 46 recovered
Hawkins – 34 cases / 2 deaths / 30 recovered
Johnson – 16 cases / 15 recovered
Sullivan – 60 cases / 2 deaths / 58 recovered
Unicoi – 41 cases / 7 recovered
Washington – 75 cases / 73 recovered
