Six new COVID-19 deaths reported in NETN on Friday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Tennessee Department of Health reported 274 new COVID-19 cases, six new deaths, and 325 new inactive or recovered cases in Northeast Tennessee on Friday.

Three new deaths were reported in Washington County, two in Johnson County, and one in Carter County.

Of the new cases, 135 were reported in Sullivan County, 61 in Washington County, 26 in Carter County, 22 in Greene County, 20 in Hawkins County, nine in Unicoi County, and one in Johnson County.

There are currently 2,567 active cases in Northeast Tennessee, down from 2,624 on Thursday.

Statewide, 3,444 new cases, 74 new deaths, and 26 new hospitalizations were reported.
