NCDHHS: 75,875 COVID-19 cases in North Carolina; 55,318 estimated recoveries

RALEIGH, N.C. (WJHL) — The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services reported 75,875 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state on Tuesday.

NCDHHS reports a total of 1,398 deaths attributed to the virus.

The department also reported 989 hospitalizations and over a million coronavirus tests completed.

Ashe County — 60 cases / 1 death

Avery County — 18 cases

Madison County — 15 cases

Mitchell County — 51 cases (2 new cases)

Watauga County — 104 cases (5 new cases)

Yancey County — 51 cases

Buncombe County— 711 cases / 29 deaths (18 new cases)
