NCDHHS: 74,529 COVID-19 cases in North Carolina; cases climb in Watauga Co.

RALEIGH, N.C. (WJHL) — The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services reported 74,529 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state on Monday.

The department also reported 982 hospitalizations and over a million coronavirus tests completed.

Ashe County — 60 cases / 1 death (3 new cases)

Avery County — 18 cases (3 new cases)

Madison County — 17 cases (1 new cases)

Mitchell County — 49 cases (5 new cases)

Watauga County — 99 cases (6 new cases)

Yancey County — 51 cases (2 new cases)

Buncombe County— 693 cases / 29 deaths (18 new cases)
