Asking the Experts: Ballad official says Merck COVID-19 pill could be in hospitals by late December if approved

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Ballad Health Chief Clinical Officer Dr. Amit Vashist believes an experimental COVID-19 pill by Merck could be in use at Ballad’s hospitals by late December, pending approval by the FDA.

Vashist called Merck’s drug “a very exciting development.”
