KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — Kingsport City Schools leaders voted Tuesday night to extend the district’s mask mandate through mid October.

The extension will require face coverings in all school facilities through Oct. 19.

Gov. Bill Lee’s executive order does allow for parents to opt their children out of the mandate.
