Johnson City Parks and Recreation announces an “egg-citing” event for kids

Johnson City Parks and Recreation wants to get your family ready for Easter.  The department announced plans for its Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt.  The event is designed for children ages 3 to 12.

The fun kicks off on Thursday, April 18 with music and games at 7:30.  The egg hunt begins at 8:30.

The celebration will be held at Memorial Park Community Center, located at 510 Bert Street.

A separate egg hunt will take place for children ages 5 and under.

Registration is not required, and the event is free.  Kids are asked to bring their own flashlight.

In April, Johnson City Parks and Recreation will also host a night just for the girls.

Girls ages 6 to 14 can enjoy a night out filled with manicures, pedicures, makeovers, crafts and a dessert bar.  Girls’ Night Out takes place at Memorial Park Community Center on Friday, April 19.

The event runs from 7 until 10.  The cost is $10 per person.

Those wanting to take part must register in person at Memorial Park Community Center by Thursday, April 18.
