Kristen Gallant

Kristen Gallant is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a minor in writing. Kristen graduated Cum Laude from her college in three and a half years.

She was chosen as an anchor for MT10’s student-led news station during her freshman year of college. Since then, she continued her experience as a reporter and anchor for both MT10 and The RISE MT, MTSU’s student-led morning show. Kristen was a host for The Trend, The RISE’s entertainment segment. Her senior year of college, Kristen became News Director of her college news program and co-host of The RISE.

Along with her on-air work, Kristen has represented MT10 at the 31st and 32nd Mid-South Emmy Awards in Nashville as a producers assistant. Kristen was awarded an Associated Press in 2017 for Radio Feature Story. 

In the Summer of 2017, Kristen interned at NBC 6 South Florida with the photojournalist and multimedia journalist team. She was able to create and write packages for on-air talent, assist the news desk, run teleprompter for live broadcasts, and go out in the field with reporters and photojournalists. Kristen made a second trip to Miami in January 2018 to represent her school at the National Association Television Programming Executives (NATPE) as an intern. The summer of 2018, Kristen interned at WATE-TV, WJHL’s sister station in Knoxville, TN.

Along with being heavily involved with journalism, Kristen enjoys community outreach by volunteering with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and sharing her platform of CHANCES: Creating Families Through Adoption.

Kristen wishes to deliver excellence in every area of her career.
