Kelly Grosfield is the Morning Anchor for WJHL News Channel 11.
Kelly came to the Tri-Cities from our Nexstar sister station WMBB in Panama City, Florida.
She was born in the Sunshine State and grew up in Ft. Lauderdale. She joined the team at WMBB News 13 in May of 2017 after graduating from the University of Florida.
While in the Florida Panhandle, Kelly covered big stories such as the impact of Hurricane Michael, President Trump’s visit to Panama City Beach, and an active shooter situation in the heart of downtown Panama City.
Kelly has a particular interest in covering crime and courts, and that interest led her to host a free legal talk show called “Lawcall” for two years, which aired every Sunday night.
She joined the WJHL team in January 2020 as the Weekend Evening Anchor and later launched the region’s first 4 o’clock hour-long newscast in July 2022. She became the morning anchor in August 2022.
If you see Kelly out on a story, feel free to yell “Go Gators,” although she knows she probably won’t ever hear that in Volunteer territory.
If you have a story idea, you can email her at kgrosfield@wjhl.com.
