
Justin Soto joined the WJHL news team in June 2016 as a Digital Journalist. He was promoted to Weekend Morning Anchor October 2017.
During his time so far at WJHL, he’s covered some of the biggest stories in our region including the Great Smoky Mountains wildfires and Eastman Chemical Company explosions.
He is a proud graduate of Boston University’s College of Communication and holds a B.S. degree in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Political Science.
While in college he interned with NBC’s Today Show in New York, Meet the Press in Washington, D.C. as well as an internship across the pond with Sky TV in London.
While in D.C he got the special opportunity to cover Pope Francis’s historic visit to the United States.
He is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and is originally from a suburb of Orlando, FL.
In his free time, he loves cooking, traveling, hanging out with friends and family and he’s a huge animal lover (especially cats).
He loves serving the Tri-Cities community and exploring all that the area has to offer. If you see him out and about, say hi!
