Amy Lynn has been working in the News element since she graduated from college at St Cloud State University in Minnesota.
She’s worked as a reporter and anchor at television stations in Montana, Michigan, Virginia and now Tennessee.
She helped launch Daytime Tri-Cities at WJHL back in 2008. In May 2017, she moved back to the news desk to anchor News Channel 11 This Morning.
Amy got a taste of morning television while working in Cadillac, Michigan. She co-anchored a two and a half-hour morning show.
“It was the first time I felt I had an opportunity to really show my personality. Before that, my everyday career was mostly scripted. I loved being able to have some fun!”
Amy draws her inspiration from the people she meets and the places she visits. She feels very fortunate to have met truly amazing people along the way. These people are her friends and neighbors who have overcome tremendous hardships and have risen to the top.
She claims, “There is nothing more uplifting than meeting ordinary people who do extraordinary things. Their attitudes and caring nature serve as an inspiration to all of us.”
Amy is blessed to have a wonderful husband, two boys, Alex and Eli and two step- daughters, Taylor and Blair. She loves spending time with family especially outdoors.
