Here is a look at the potential snowfall through noon Saturday.

Our next weather maker will bring rain to the region late Saturday night into Sunday.

1 PM Sunday - We will have enough cold air to the northeast of the Tri-Cities to support the possibility of snow snow and a wintry mix across areas of southwest Virginia and northwest North Carolina.

4 PM Sunday - The low pressure moves across east Tennessee.  We are in the warm sector with rain, but there could be snow and a wintry mix off to our east and northeast.

9 PM Sunday - We keep clouds and a chance of rain in the area. Snow is possible north of us.

7 AM Monday - Light snow will be possible on the back side of this system late Sunday into Monday.  There could be some light accumulations in our area with heavier snow possible to our northeast.

9:30 AM Monday -Snow will be possible across the area.

3 PM Monday - Snow will taper down through the afternoon.

The storm on Sunday into Monday is one that bears watching.  Here is tour in house weather model showing the potential snowfall from that storm system.  Please keep up with the weather if you have travel plans Sunday into Monday.  Heavy snow could be possible to our northeast.

We stay cool much of next week with a chanee of snow Wednesday.
