Mark's Weather Blog: Rain Tonight, Sunshine Thursday and Friday - A Wet Weekend ahead!

Wednesday, February 7, 2018 -

Good evening.

We certainly had a lot of rain across the region today.  Here is a look at the climate data for the Tri-Cities Airport.

Colder air will move back into the area tonight with clouds, drizzle and some flurries along with some fog.

Look at these satellite images from College of DuPage, you can see that the clearing trend will be slow.

This is a wider view.  Notice the clearing well to our west.

So we keep the clouds, drizzle and a chance of snow flurries in the mountains tonight, but we clear out tomorrow.

8 PM Tonight - We could see some light snow and flurries across parts of the region.

8 AM Thursday - A few clouds linger with temperatures in the 20's.

Noon Thursday - Sunny skies are forecast for the area.

We keep the sunshine into Friday with high temperatures Friday afternoon near 58 degrees.

Rain and a lot of it will return to the Tennessee Valley this weekend!

Take a look at the rainfall potential just for Saturday.

Temperatures stay mild with the rain this weekend into early next week!
