Sunday, April 15th 2018 Night

Storm Team 11 Forecast:

Good Evening!

Today has been a wet day with showers and storms across the area. Tonight there is still a 50% chance for light showers and a few snow showers tonight, mainly in the higher elevations. Tonight's low is 39 degrees. Flood Warnings have been issued for parts of the area so if you encounter flooded roadways remember to turn around, don't drown!

Tomorrow starts out cold and stays cold with highs in the 30s and 40s! There is a 50% chance for a mix of rain and snow showers tomorrow. Light spotty showers are more likely in the lower elevations, but a few flakes are possible even in the Tri-Cities. Overall accumulation is light. The highest peaks in the TN/NC mountains could see up to 2" by Tuesday morning, with up to an inch in parts of SW Virginia.

Tomorrow evening as temperatures fall again into the 20s and 30s, a few more snow showers and light snow is possible. Tuesday morning widespread frost is looking likely, with a few lingering flakes.

Tuesday during the day will be much better than Monday though with a high of 61 degrees and partly sunny skies.

A few more scattered showers are possible Wednesday into Thursday, but we will see a generally drier trend this week until Sunday.

Have a great night!
