Severe storms cause deaths, thousands of power outages along the East Coast

(WJHL) - Parts of the east coast got hit with severe storms on Tuesday.

Golf-ball sized hail, flooded streets and downed trees were seen in several states.

In addition to damage, the storms also knocked out power for nearly 400-thousand people.

Two deaths have been reported, both involving trees falling on cars with people inside of them.

The youngest victim was just 11 years old.

The National Weather Service says the storms will stick around the east coast for the next few days.
