Pair arrested again after store merchandise, meth found in Abingdon, Va. home

ABINGDON, VA (WJHL) - From the Washington Virginia Sheriff's Office:

A search warrant has resulted in felony charges against two county residents.  According to Washington County Sheriff Fred Newman, the search warrant was
executed on Thursday, March 2014, at a home located at 26294 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA. 

Sheriff’s deputies seized stolen property from two businesses in Washington County, a quantity of methamphetamine and methamphetamine paraphernalia.

Randall Blake Doss, age 23, was arrested and charged with the following:

  1. Misdemeanor Shoplift;
  2. Felony Shoplift; and
  3. Possession of a controlled substance, Schedule I or II.
Doss was taken to the Abingdon Facility of the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail and is being held without bond.

Chelsey Lynn Burkett, age 30, of 6434 Hayters Gap Road, Saltville, VA, was also arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, Schedule I or II. 
Burkett was transported the Abingdon Facility of the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail and is being held without bond.

Washington County, Va. Sheriff’s Office arrested two people on drug charges that resulted from a search warrant executed at an Abingdon home on Feb. 14.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, Randall Blake Doss, 23, 26294 Lee Highway in Abingdon, Va. and Chelsey Lynn Burkett, 30, 6434 Hayters Gap Road in Saltville, Va., were arrested on March 8 after deputies seized three handguns, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and stolen property from a December burglary from Doss’s home.

Doss was charged with possession methamphetamine with the intent to manufacture, sell, give or distribute, and possession of a controlled substance of a controlled substance, schedule I or II, while possessing a firearm.

Burkett was charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to manufacture, sell, give or distribute, and possession of a controlled substance, schedule I or II, while possessing a firearm.

Doss and Burkett were taken to the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Abingdon, where they were each reportedly released on $7,500 bond.
