SULLIVAN COUNTY, TN (WJHL) -
The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office may soon take a spot on a national television show.

The sheriff's office announced today it will be part of a documentary that will air on the National Geographic Channel later this year.

Sheriff Wayne Anderson said he was overjoyed that his department was chosen out of 3,500 sheriff's offices in the United States.
"I'm real proud of it. I'm excited about it. I think it's going to be good for our county and it's not going to be a COPS show like you see all the time," said Sheriff Anderson.

The unnamed documentary will follow sheriff's deputies and detectives during the course of their day.
