    A Johnson City man was arrested Saturday after police said he assaulted his father with a hammer.According to police, Robert Collins, 25, attacked the victim, choked him, hit him with a hammer, and then smashed a kitchen window.Collins was charged with one count of aggravated domestic assault and one count of vandalism.He's in the Washington County Detention Center on $25,000 bond.Copyright WJHL 2014. BRISTOL, VA (WJHL) -
       The J.C. Penney at the mall in Bristol, Virginia is one of 33 stores that the department store chain will close.   The department store is cutting 2,000 jobs. The announcement comes after J.C. Penney said that they were pleased with their holiday results, but wouldn't give sales figures.   The company says the cuts wills save more than $65 million dollars annually. J.C. Penney has 166,000 employees and all the job cuts are related to the store closing.
