Brothers identified in fatal Sullivan County shooting

KINGSPORT, TN (WJHL) - The names of the brothers involved in a fatal shooting in Sullivan County have been released.

Sullivan County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to a home on Rocky Lane in Kingsport just before 6 p.m. Saturday and found Robert "Bobby" Lane, 55, lying in the front yard of the home with several gunshot wounds.

He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Monday, Sullivan County Sheriff Wayne Anderson confirmed the man who shot Robert Lane was his brother Richard Lane, 53.

The brothers had been in  a dispute about property.

A grand jury will hear the case to determine if any charges should be filed.
