Glade Spring, VA -

A Thanksgiving morning fire destroyed a Glade Spring, Va. restaurant.

Firefighters say they were called out to Louie's Italian Bistro on Maple Street around 3:30 am Thursday.

Glade Spring Volunteer Fire Chief Jarren Strong says the restaurant closed just an hour and a half prior, around 2:00 am.

According to the chief, when firefighters arrived flames and smoke were coming from the kitchen area of the restaurant.

Chief Strong says at this time the fire doesn't appear to be suspicious, but he says investigators will return to the scene Friday or Saturday to take another look.

The restaurant was previously damaged in April 2011 after a tornado touched down in Glade Spring, the chief said.
