Charges pending in Piney Flats fatal crash

PINEY FLATS, TN (WJHL) -

Charges are pending against a Johnson City woman after a fatal car accident last weekend.

Police said Fleming Sluder, 66, of Piney Flats, was killed, when he was stopped at the intersection of cherry street and highway 11-E. Patricia Rhea, 68, of Johnson City, hit Sluder's side door.

Sluder was flown to University of Tennessee Hospital where he died from his injuries on Tuesday.

The accident is still under investigation by Tennessee Highway Patrol and says charges are pending.
