Former driver accused of wrecking school bus trying to figure out attorney situation

Posted: Updated:
JONESBOROUGH, TN (WJHL) -

The reckless aggravated assault case against former Washington County, Tennessee school bus driver Brenda Gray remains uncertain.

Gray appeared in court earlier Monday.

She faces 39 counts of reckless aggravated assault, as well as speeding and reckless driving charges related to the September 20th bus crash on Mt. Wesley Road.

26 David Crockett High School students were injured in that crash.

Since her previous attorney passed away, Gray is now trying to figure out what she can do when it comes to hiring a new lawyer.

She is due back in court on August 29th, according to Assistant District Attorney Erin McArdle.
