PINEY FLATS, TN (WJHL) -

A 10-year-old girl is dead after a storm ripped apart a metal shed and tossed it into the car her mother was driving. The accident happened just after 5 yesterday afternoon on Highway 11E in Piney Flats.  The  building belonged to a local business, F.J. Torbett Plant Farm.

Johnson City Police say Tammy McCamy of Bluff City was headed north and had slowed down due to the weather.  Her daughter, 10-year-old Shelby McCamy, was in the back seat.  The storm debris hit the car in the passenger side.   Both mother and daughter were taken to Johnson City Medical Center. Tammy McCamy was also injured. Her injuries are described as serious.

Johnson City Police say the accident was unavoidable on the driver's behalf
