GREENEVILLE, TN (WJHL) -

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a police chase that ended in a three-vehicle wreck near the intersection of Summer Street and Davis Road.

According to THP spokesperson Dalya Qualls, a Greene County Sheriff's Deputy was pursuing a vehicle driven by Charles Herkley of Chattanooga. Qualls says when Herkley came to the intersection of Summer Street and Davis Road he ran a stop sign and hit another vehicle. Marilyn Shanks was in that second vehicle and was injured. Qualls says Herkley got out of his vehicle while it was still moving and it eventually hit another vehicle. The person in the third vehicle was not hurt.

THP troopers charged Herkley with felony reckless endangerment. Herkley may face more charges from the Greene County Sheriff's Department.

Emergency crews transported Herkley and Shanks to local hospitals with injuries.
