A Johnson City drug dealer will spend more than 15 years in prison.

According to the United States Attorney's Office, a federal judge sentenced Kareem Hussan Wood, 35, to 188 months in prison on Monday.

U.S. District Judge J. Ronnie Greer also ordered six years of supervised release after Wood serves his prison time.

The United States Attorney's Office says Wood pleaded guilty in December 2012 to distribution of crack cocaine.

Wood was the subject of an undercover investigation by the Johnson City Police Department into the distribution of crack cocaine. During the investigation, Wood was recording selling the drug on numerous occasions.
