A Damascus man is in jail after deputies say they found a couple pounds of marijuana and hundreds of dollars in cash inside of his home.

According to Washington County, Va. Sheriff's deputies, a tip led them to a home in the Green Cove section of the county late Thursday evening. It was at that home on Green Cove Road where deputies found more than two pounds of marijuana and $700 in cash, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said they arrested Tommy Jack Surber, 52, and charged him with possession with the intent to distribute marijuana.

Surber is in jail on a $10,000 bond, according to the Sheriff's Office.
