Carter County Sheriff's Deputy say a tip from a concerned citizen led them to a methamphetamine lab.
Investigators tell News Channel 11 that they have been watching a home on Muddy Branch Road in the Stoney Creek community for two weeks.

On Tuesday afternoon, investigators knocked on the door of the home and asked one of the suspects for permission to search the house.
During the search deputies discovered a meth lab in a back bedroom.
Deputies also say they found several jars of an unknown substance, 40 grams of Sudafed, and four marijuana plants.

Carter County then called the First Judical Drug Task Force, the Tennessee Meth Task Force, and HAZMAT crews to dismantle the lab.
Daniel Shawn Smith and Misty Dale Gardner, both originally from North Carolina, were arrested.

A 10-year-old child was also living inside the home. The child was taken to a local hospital to be examined, and Child Protective Services was contacted.
According to the Sheriff's Department, this is the 9th meth lab bust in Carter County in just two years.
