Meth Lab Bust In Elizabethton

Elizabethton Police Capt. Mike Merritt identified three people arrested during Friday's suspected drug bust at 1017 Arney Street.

Bobby Craig, 37, Andrew Smith, 21, and Emily Vaughn, 20, all of Elizabethton are scheduled to appear in Carter County General Sessions Court on August 31st.

Police arrested three people during a methamphetamine lab bust in Elizabethton.

It happened Friday night around 6 p.m. at 1017 Arney Street.

Acting on a tip, the SWAT team executed a search warrant of the house.  At least one suspect attempted to run before being caught by police.

Elizabethton Police said there were nine batches of meth cooking.  The meth task force worked for hours to dismantle it all.

The suspects' names have not been released.

Police said the meth lab bust on Arney Street is not related to the meth lab bust in Carter County on Wednesday.
